MOTHER COURAGE

I was assigned by l'Espresso to illustrate the story of Immacolata Mancuso, a woman and mother of two, born in a family affiliated to 'Ndrangheta, a Mafia-type criminal organization in Italy, centered in Calabria. Imma refused to follow her family for the good of her kids and decided to leave her hometown in Calabria to relocate in an other town in the north of the country.
